The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) has announced that its Phase 6 strike protocol will begin Wednesday, February 26, 2020. While the union will expand its work-to-rule campaign, Thames Valley elementary schools remain open until at least March 6.
If no progress is made toward a contract agreement by Friday, March 6, ETFO says it will commence the next phase of its strike protocol on Monday, March 9.

As of this post (3:45 pm on Feb 21), all TVDSB schools are open the week of February 24, 2020.
Today, the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) announced a one-day rotating strike day for Friday, February 28.  The TVDSB is not impacted by this strike day .
Currently, we have no notice/information from the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO) regarding strike days planned for next week. This may change as more information becomes available.

Thames Valley District School Board continues to monitor the ongoing situation with Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) and takes its direction from federal, provincial and local health authorities. At this time, school boards have not been directed to take any specific action.
Today, Dr. David Williams, Chief Medical Officer of Health,  confirmed that the province's third case of the 2019 novel coronavirus is now resolved  and the individual is no longer infectious.
